Google Chrome Vulnerability

This story broke last week, but it’s worth re-posting here as many of you use Google Chrome. This only affects people using Google Chrome AND plugins of any kind. If you are concerned your machine may have been compromised or have questions, please feel free to make an appointment with TDI Computing.

Here is the original story from Ars Technica.

Google is currently stating that they’ll release a patch in June.

The list of known or suspected malicious plugins is as follows:

  • Add to Feedly

  • Hola Unblocker
  • HoverZoom?(FWIW the author denies it)
  • Neat Bookmarks
  • ScrollToTopButton
  • SmoothGestures
  • Smooth Scroll
  • Translate Selection
  • Tweet This Page
  • Webpage Screenshot Capture
  • Window Resizer
  • Youtube Ratings Preview
