Printer Setup: Imagine3

We’ve recently had the old Ricoh printer replaced with a newer color multi-function printer. If you find yourself unable to print to this new printer or are setting it up on your computer for the first time, please find the instructions below:

  • First, you’ll need to make sure your Mac has the Ricoh Printer Software package. It can be downloaded here.
  • Even if you already have the software installed, it won’t hurt to re-install it to make sure you have the latest drivers.
  • After the install completes, open System Preferences.
  • Click Print & Scan.

  • If you already have Imagine3 installed, select it and click the ‘-‘ button.
  • Click the ‘+’ button to install the new Imagine3 printer.

  • Select ‘IP’.
  • In the Address field, enter ‘129.170.61.47’.
  • Type ‘Imagine3’ in the Name field.
  • The ‘Use’ field should automatically select the Ricoh Aficio MP C4502 PS driver. If it doesn’t, click the dropdown menu and Select Printer Software. Find the appropriate Ricoh printer.

  • Click Add.
  • The Option Tray is Tray 3.
  • The Finisher is SR3090.

  • Click OK.
  • First, you’ll need the software for the printer. It can be found here. Select your version of Windows and download the PCL6 Driver for Universal Print. If you’re not sure which version of Windows you have, you can right-click the Computer icon and select Properties.

  • Download the software to your desktop or downloads folder, then you will need to extract the contents. You can do this by double-clicking on the file. Make sure to change or make note of where the files will be saved.

  • Once extracted, you can now install the printer. It doesn’t matter if you’re currently at 35 Centerra or not.
  • Go to the Start Menu. Select Devices and Printers (if you’re running Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8). If you’re running Windows XP, please schedule time with us to have your laptop updated.

  • If you already have Imagine3 installed, right-click on it and select ‘Remove Device’.
  • Click ‘Add a Printer’.
  • Click ‘Add a Local Printer’.
  • If you already had Imagine3 installed, select ‘Use an existing port’, if not, select ‘Create a new port’.
  • If you ‘Create a new port’, select Standard TCP/IP in the dropdown menu.

  • The Hostname or IP Address is 129.170.61.47.

  • Select ‘Have Disk’ and navigate to the expanded download folder (it will be named either 32bit or 64bit).
  • Click Next until you can name the printer.
  • Call it Imagine3.
  • Click Next.
  • Select ‘Do not share this printer’.
  • Select if you want it to be the default printer then click ‘Finish’.
