Apple just announced and released a patch for their iOS 7 mobile operating system. The issue relates to security and how the device (iPhone or iPad) communicates via SSL/TLS (used for encrypted communications like credit card transactions). This bug also affects the Mac OS X operating system for desktops and laptops, but Apple has yet to release a patch for it. We’ll keep you updated as to when they do. In the meantime, you should backup your device and run the update (it will either pop up when your device is on wi-fi or you can access it via Settings/General/Software Update). The new version number is iOS 7.0.6.
